Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - an Canadian and American musician and singer. More than 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk rock and alternative rock but includes elements of punk, funk, hip music and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy winner Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement and is among the first artists to create her own record label in 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 her parents Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had been in contact while at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father had Italian heritage and her mother was a Montreal native. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The song is from her album Not a Pretty Girl, that was her sixth studio album. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a version of the song. DiFranco apologized for holding a conference in Louisiana on an old plantation for slaves.
