Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host for the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina started her career as a writer in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. Although she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually became bored. Then she bought an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food retailer. Before selling the business it took her an entire 18 years transforming it into the most successful shop. Numerous other cookbooks and magazine columns followed. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a huge success. The company sells numerous items, from the ingredients needed for cooking to kitchenware and storage. Ina did not go to any cookery schools nor was she employed in a dining establishment. Her education is completely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her simple approach to cooking and effortless entertaining. Her most famous recipes are the lemon chicken that she grills in a skillet as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
